Sunshine And Snow It still seems like a blur The first time here with her I fell so fast and sinned so slow Lost in sunshine and snow She stopped me on the street And said, "I knew we'd meet Like Yin and Yang or ebb and flow We are sunshine and snow" We walked to a motel A place that she knew well And as the bed rocked to and fro I felt sunshine and snow I asked her for her name She said, "What would that change? If I'm someone or just Jane Doe There's still sunshine and snow" She said, "I don't read books 'Cause writers are all crooks The more I learn the less I know It's all sunshine and snow And if murder is a crime Then let's stop killing time We could live free or on death row Life is sunshine and snow" Then my time was up I filled her broken cup She held me high and laid me low With her sunshine and snow And as she closed the door I knew we'd met before It wasn't now but long ago Among sunshine and snow

Monday Morning 9am Store owners open up Waitresses fill coffee cups Bankers start to make deals at their desks Cops go out on patrol Miners are digging coal And health workers show up to inspect But how many will take time to reflect? Some have ambition Some more seem unconcerned Most are just wishing for this day to end It’s Monday Morning 9am There are the chosen few Who love the work they do And all the rest just wanna pay the bills But who really wants a job that slowly kills? Are you still trying? Or do you just pretend? Who will be crying, "Not this again"? On Monday Morning 9am Why do some folks fly so high While the others just scrape by? Which side are you on? Will you be with us or them? On Monday Morning 9am Store owners open up Waitresses fill coffee cups Bankers start to make deals at their desks But how many will take time to reflect? So I wonder just what each of them expects

In This City 03:15
In This City Walking the streets of the place I call home All my old memories won’t leave me alone Some of them happy and some of them sad It’s hard to go forward when you’re looking back In this city I love In this city I hate In this city I can’t escape Every building and every stone Remind me of failures or times when I’ve shone Around every corner are ghosts from my past It’s hard to go forward when you’re looking back In this city I love In this city I hate In this city I can’t escape Some days I can’t get enough of this town Some days I want to burn the whole thing down And I feel like my future is under attack It’s hard to go forward when you’re looking back In this city I love In this city I hate In this city there’s no escape There's no escape There's no escape

Cool Box 05:22
Cool Box Take my torch then tie me to this chair with strong rope Tear my clothes off till you've stripped me bare of all hope Tortured souls are dark and cold and empty Our battle's come with different drums But each day the rhythm's the same Over and over When we're done the blood that runs has turned into ice in our veins Hear that winter wind, it's blowing Goes right through my skin, I'm frozen First the frost sets in Then the thaw begins In our house there's holes in every floor and ceiling That welcome sign we painted on the door is peeling And we won't make the time it takes to fix it It's like a cage of silent rage Where nothing escapes from your mouth We won't talk it over The words we save, they dig our grave Till only the dead can get out Hear that winter wind, it's blowing Goes right through my skin, I'm frozen First the frost sets in Then the thaw begins Let's put our hearts in a cool box Take them out whenever we need them again Let's put our hearts in a cool box Take them out whenever we need them again Let's put our hearts in a cool box Take them out whenever we need them again Let's put our hearts in a cool box Take them out whenever we need them again

Find Love 03:49
Find Love Hanging on in this desperate fight Losing grip when it don't go right Nothing here makes any sense Just stay calm, be content Though it hurts to make a stand Try to smile and shake some hands Hide that fist away for now There's no need to take it out We can find love in the darkest place of all We can find love in the hate wrote on the wall Yeah, find love in the violence and the crime But tonight I'm gonna leave it all behind Peace is well worth waiting for But everyone has their own war The hardest battle left to win Is the one down deep within We can find love in the darkest place of all We can find love in the hate wrote on the wall Yeah, find love in the violence and the crime But tonight I'm gonna leave it all behind Dress now in that long black coat Then compose a farewell note Remember this is not the end Fallen souls can rise again We can find love in the sins of everyone We can find love in the bullet from the gun Yeah, find love in the madness of our minds But tonight I'm gonna leave it all behind Tonight I'm gonna leave it all behind Tonight I'm gonna leave it all behind

For Old Time's Sake For old time's sake Why can't we let go of the past? It's not too late To sit and talk, over a glass And all those years Of anger, resentment and guilt Could disappear If we clean that wine that we've spilt It's my hand that I'm reaching out to you My eyes that now see what they should do This heart that is beating the rhythm it used to make For old time's sake For old time's sake Remember the friendship we had And one mistake Can't turn all that good in to bad It's the hope that I'm holding out to you The pride that I know still runs through you My heart that is beating the rhythm it used to make For old time's sake Old time's sake Now nobody has to say sorry I don't care who's right or who's wrong Let's go and make some more stories You been gone way too long It's my hand that I'm reaching out to you My eyes that now see what they should do This heart that is beating the old rhythm it used to make It's the hope that I'm holding out to you The pride that I know still runs through you My heart that is beating the old rhythm it used to make For old time's sake

My Best Friend I'm here drinking slowly sinking with regret Clinging to the world I knew and can't forget It's so strange, the way things change The way things move so fast And once they're in the past You can't bring them back If I could only be my best friend Then I could help myself If I could only be my best friend I'd need no one else It would set me free happiness would be forever 'Cause I know me I could show me right from wrong By tomorrow all this sorrow would be gone If I was here to share my beer God, I'd pay any price But life's a loaded dice And you don't win twice If I could only be my best friend And lend a helping hand If I could only be my best friend I'd understand It would set me free happiness would be forever

Let The Good Times Sing Take my last lifeline Then I’ll be on my way Seems like a lifetime Has gone by in a day Let the good times leave you laughing Let the good times start to swing Let the sunshine dry the tears from your eyes Let the good times make you sing The seasons kept spinning There’s so many falling leaves But spring was beginning When it whispered to me Let the good times leave you laughing Let the good times start to swing Let the sunshine dry the tears from your eyes Let the good times make you sing La la la la la la la la La la la la la la la La la la la la la la la la la Let the good times make you sing Let me kneel down by the river Let the waters cleanse my soul Let this life I knew be reborn in you Let the good times start to roll Let the good times leave you laughing Let the good times start to swing Let the sunshine dry the tears from your eyes Let the good times make you sing La la la la la la la la La la la la la la la La la la la la la la la la la Let the good times make you sing

Where The Road Ends Here's where the road ends And the engine will stop My bones are so weary They're ready to drop I'll lie down and rest here It feels good, it feels right, it feels time Here's where the road ends So I've done the last mile And who would have thought that I'd go out with a smile I'll lie down and rest here It feels good, it feels right, it feels time No more worry No more fear All is peaceful Now I'm near So I close my eyes So I can see This road set me free Here's where the road ends And my engine will stop
